Locating construction jobs in Tampa?
I am currently unemployed, 18 years old and want to get a construction job. Any hard labor minus picking fruits. I’ll prefer a job where I would work hard and get me used to being outside more than 5 hours a day. Obviously no college degree nor any trade school, only a high school diploma.
If I were to drive around and look for a construction site, how hard would it be to get a job? The reason I ask is because people have told me that you could get hired on the spot. How true is this? As far as pay, it doesn’t matter as long as its the min. wage. To be honest, this would more about training me to become a better man than about the money.
This is in Tampa, FL. What would I tell the construction manager and should I come dressed in slacks and such?
