ATTENTION ALL STAR WARS NERDS: I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!?
I AM SOOO CONFUSED!!!
Okay, well. When were the Star Wars movies made? And did they remake them? Because I saw that Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith was made in 2005, but the 5th one was like from a long time ago.
will somebody PLEASE explaine this to me!!?
The 4th 5th and 6th episodes were the first 3 made, and made around the 70s or 80s, not enterly sure exactly when.
Episodes 1 2 and 3 were made just recently about 2000+ as a prequal series to "the original trilogy" as its usually reffered to.
Phantom menace, attack of the clones, and revenge of the sith, were supposedly in the works since the first star wars movie was out, (a new hope, episode 4) but tthere no way of knowing, hows that?
Not You | Nov 07, 2009
ok dude, a new hope (which is considered to be the fourth chapter) was actually the first star wars movie made. then the rest followed that.the 1,2, and 3 chapters were made after 4, 5, and 6. even though a new hope is the 4 chapter, it was the first made, it was released in like the 70’s….
rock&roll will never die | Nov 07, 2009
yeah the first 2 peeps got it right but I will answer anyway! here are the movies in order of release
1. Star Wars A New Hope (episode 4) 1977
2. The Empire Strikes Back (episode 5) 1980
3. Return of the Jedi (episode 6) 1983
4. The Phantom Menace (episode 1) 1999
5. Attack of the Clones (episode 2) 2002
6. Revenge of the Sith (episode 3) 2005
ok now you know what order the movies came out in. George Lucas allegedly wrote the stories for all these movies before releasing the first movie. but I dont believe that. maybe he just had a basic short story for episodes 1-3 and there wasnt enough material to make a movie about it.

George Lucas wrote the script for A New Hope (episode 4) Empire Strikes Back (episode 5) and Return of the Jedi (episode 6) all together. It was the story of Luke Skywalker and his adventures through the galaxy. However, due to what wouldve been a quite lengthy film, Lucas cut the scripts down and refurbished them and came out with "STAR WARS" which is what we call "A New Hope" the movie was released in 1976. With the huge success of "Star Wars", Lucas began to resurrect the scripts of "Empire" and "Jedi" and began work on them. "Empire Strikes Back" (as it was called back then) was released in May of 1980. Lucas concluded the epic trilogy with what was originally called "REVENGE of the Jedi". HE changed the title from "Revenge…" to "Return of the Jedi" after feeling that "revenge" is unethical to a jedi. "Return of the Jedi" was released in May of 1983. Over the next few years Lucas made special additions of the three movies and adapted the title "STAR WARS" to each one. Keeping in mind an idea of creating a prequel trilogy to the original trilogy, this was when episode 4 got the title "A New Hope" and when "Episode…" appeared in the opening scroll. In the early 90’s, Lucas began tinkering away and thought that the characters of the "original trilogy" needed a back story and a heritage to show exactly where Darth Vader, Luke, Leia, and the droids came from. He felt there needed to be an explanation on how the empire came to be. Thus the script for "Star Wars Episode I The Phantom Menace" was written and released May 1999. Three years later, in 2002 "Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones" was released. And in 2005, "Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith" was released concluding the saga. "revenge of the Sith"’s title was used as an omage to what was originally "Revenge of the Jedi". So there you have it. Thats the history of the Star Wars saga as I’ve always known it. I’m a die hard Star Wars fan, and can stand by my word that this information is 99.9% true. So though the movies were made 4,5,6,1,2,3, its due to the back story Lucas wrote for them in the early 90’s. Hope this helped!
